Description

Discipleship that Works with Greg Ogden
Forum for Pastors and Disciple Makers

Jesus told us to make disciples, and we all want to carry out that commission. But so often we feel unequipped to carry out the task. If that describes where you are, this conference is for you! Greg Ogden, one of the leading experts in the field of discipleship, will help us think through how to develop discipleship incubating churches and focus on producing disciple-making disciples. Through lively worship, plenary presentations, and small group interaction, we will be better equipped to become effective disciple makers.

This forum is collaboration of the Shoemaker Center for Church Renewal, The Discipleship Inititive, and The Pierce Center for Disciple-Building at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary.

The Shoemaker Center for Church Renewal makes available the educational resources of Gordon-Conwell and the larger evangelical community to pastors, lay leaders and churches for the purpose of encouraging personal and corporate renewal. https://www.gordonconwell.edu/ockenga/church-renewal/index.cfm

The Discipleship Initiative seeks to teach others how to make disciples, by experiencing it ourselves. Participants in the Initiative make a two-year commitment. The goal is that participants graduate having been discipled and having discipled others. In this way, we hope our students will embrace discipleship as a Christian core competency and a life-long calling. https://www.gordonconwell.edu/resources/Discipleship-Initiative.cfm

The Pierce Center for Disciple-Building understands that disciple-building is an intentional, Holy Spirit empowered, biblically-based and prayerful transformational process which Gordon-Conwell desires all students to experience as they become more like Christ and prepare to lead others in Christian discipleship and spiritual formation. https://www.gordonconwell.edu/resources/Pierce-Center-for-Disciple-Building.cfm
